Purpose :
As a Product Manager, you will build and implement product vision to meet customer, end user and business needs. You own and manage Machine Room Elevator slings at global level. You drive the customer value creation by owning the development agenda to ensure also the desired cost levels, quality, reliability, competitiveness, time-to-market, and disturbance-free operational processes in each phase of the product lifetime.
You are responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining the MR slings over the lifecycle. You are accountable that required customer value, cost, quality, reliability, competitiveness, market-coverage, time-to-market, and disturbance-free operational processes are met.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and execute the product roadmap for machine room elevator slings in alignment with company and tribe goals.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats.
Product Development
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop new products and improve existing designs.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.
Lifecycle Management
- Manage the full product lifecycle including introduction, growth, maturity, and phase-out.
- Monitor product performance, cost, and quality metrics; implement corrective actions as needed.
Customer & Market Engagement
- Serve as the product expert and liaison between customers, sales, and technical teams.
- Support sales and marketing with product training, technical documentation, and promotional materials.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure products meet all relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Stay updated on changes in elevator codes and standards affecting sling design and application.
We expect you to have:
- Minimum a B.Sc. in Mechanical / System Engineering or other engineering disciplines
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in products development experience
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in Chinese and English are a must
- Good MS Office skills are a must, knowledge on CAD / Windchill and SAP systems or database are an asset
- Collaborative and customer focused way of working
- Willingness to learn and a desire to study independently
- Results-oriented approach with a “can-do” attitude
- Research / testing / development methodologies
- Rich PDMVC experience is the better
