Job Overview
The Senior Accounting Analyst (Close & Balance Sheet Integrity) is a key contributor within the Corporate Accounting and Controllership function, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the entity’s financial reporting and balance sheet environment.
This is a high-visibility, hands-on role designed for a technically strong accounting professional who can independently manage complex close activities, navigate IFRS and corporate reporting requirements, and ensure financial statements are fully supported, audit-ready, and compliant with company policies and internal controls.
The role serves as a critical bridge between operational accounting, shared services, Business Controllers, FP&A, Tax, Payroll, and Corporate Reporting teams, ensuring that accounting transactions are accurately reflected within the financial statements and that balance sheet risks, reconciliation issues, and reporting exceptions are proactively identified and resolved.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting Leadership
- Independently support and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across assigned accounting and reporting areas
- Ensure journal entries, accruals, reserves, topside adjustments, and reporting activities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with IFRS and company policies
- Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for Corporate and management reporting purposes
- Perform financial statement and variance analysis to identify material movements, reporting anomalies, and accounting risks
Balance Sheet Stewardship & Reconciliation Governance
- Own and maintain the integrity, transparency, and supportability of assigned balance sheet accounts
- Perform and oversee reconciliations, aging analysis, and review activities to ensure accounts are fully supported and audit-ready
- Proactively identify and resolve reconciliation breaks, aging balances, and unsupported accounting positions
- Support monthly balance sheet review processes and help drive “zero-surprise” financial reporting
IFRS Compliance & Accounting Policy Support
- Serve as a technical accounting resource for assigned accounting areas, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies
- Support accounting analysis and documentation for non-routine transactions and complex accounting matters
- Partner with Corporate Reporting, Tax, Payroll, and Shared Services teams to ensure consistent accounting treatment and policy application
Shared Services Oversight & Reporting Governance
- Act as a key accounting reviewer and quality control partner for Record-to-Report (R2R) activities performed by Shared Services teams
- Ensure reporting outputs, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting validations are completed accurately and on time
- Coordinate resolution of reporting exceptions, reconciliation issues, and accounting escalations impacting financial close and reporting quality
Audit, Controls & Compliance
- Support internal and external audit activities, including preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations, walkthroughs, and supporting documentation
- Maintain strong internal controls over journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities
- Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and reporting risks, and support implementation of corrective actions
- Support compliance with internal control requirements where applicable
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, Payroll & Benefits, Treasury, Shared Services, Operations, and Corporate Reporting teams to support accurate accounting and reporting outcomes
- Support process improvement initiatives focused on automation, standardization, reporting efficiency, and reconciliation quality
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives and systems enhancements across accounting and reporting processes
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience within a large corporate or multinational environment
- Strong experience supporting financial close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA / CPA-track / CA / ACCA preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- IFRS and financial reporting principles
- General Ledger and financial close processes
- Balance sheet reconciliations and controls
- Financial statement analysis and reporting
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems required
- Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation tools (e.g., SAP BPC, Blackline) preferred
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills required
- Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, or Power Automate is a plus

Annual Base Pay Range:
The hiring range for this role in Lisle, IL location is $112,500 – $147,630. The compensation package offered will depend on candidate’s ability to meet the requirements of the role, needs for the business strategy, and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.
We will also consider candidates in the following area. Below are the different ranges applicable to those locations:
Allen, TX area hiring range: $105,100– $137,970.
Variable Compensation
KONE Annual Bonus plan at 15% Target Incentive (50/50) based on achievement of company goals and individual goals.
